Comparison of Meniscus (m-AgSAE), Film (MF-AgSAE) and Polished (p-AgSAE) Amalgam Electrodes
Fadrná, Renata
Silver solid amalgam electrode (AgSAE) is a suitable alternative to hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). There exist three types of AgSAE varying in different surfaces: meniscus modified (m-AgSAE), film (MF-AgSAE) and polished (p-AgSAE) electrode, which does not contain any liquid mercury. This work presents the comparison of the process and time heftiness of the electrodes pre-treatment and their electrochemical properties.
Comparison of Silver Composite Electrodes as to Varied Amount of Silver on Example of Chosen Compound 2-nitronaftalene
Šebková, Světlana ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Kopanica, M.
The application of the silver composite electrodes with varied content of silver (10, 15, 20 %) and graphite (30, 25, 20 %) powder and methacrylate resin (60 %) was studied in this work. 2-nitronaphtalene was chosen as a model substance for comparison of these electrodes due to easy reduction of nitrocompounds.
Determination of Halogenides on Silver Composite Electrode
Šebková, Světlana
The theme of sensors on the base of solid and solid composite materials belongs to the long-term trends of development of modern electroanalytical sensors. Silver composite electrode prepared of 20 % silver powder, 20 % of graphite powder and 60 % of methacrylate resin represent a suitable sensor for voltammetric determination of halide ions.
Determination of Cystine, Cysteine and Homocysteine in Biological Matrix
Bašová, Pavlína ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Šestáková, Ivana ; Novotný, Ladislav ; Šenholdová-Dlasková, Z.
In order to determine cystine, cysteine and homocysteine contents separately in a mixture of these compounds in real urine samples from patients suffering from cystinuremia and homocistinuremia, three voltammetric methods were tested: Brdička reaction, reduction of their complexes with copper ions and cathodic reduction of cystine. In all cases the hanging mercury drop electrode was used.
Study of Interactions of Damaged DNA with Osmium Complexes Using Elimination Voltammetry with Linear Scan
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Josypčuk, Bohdan
Complexes of Os(L), where L means tertiary amines, proved to be very effective labels of structure, electroactivity or damage of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). In this work thymine- Os(bipyridine) complexes and signals belonging to the catalytic hydrogen evolution were studied using elimination voltammetry with linear scan.
Metabolic Causes of Thiodiglycolic Acid Formation and Importance of its Determination
Šenholdová-Dlasková, Z. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Přistoupil, T. ; Přistoupilová, K.
Thiodiglycolic acid (TDGA), is one of the normal products of human metabolism, and occurs at low concentrations in urine. An increased level of TDGA in urine is a sensitive indicator of human organism exposure to some physiologically active or toxic substances, gases and vapors (vinylchloride monomer, etc.). The attention was paid to suggestion and explanation of the metabolic pathways related to thiodiglycolic acid in non-exposed organism.
Electrochemical Behavior of Chosen Chinoxaline-2-on Derivates on the Mercury Electrode
Zimpl, M. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Kotouček, M. ; Barták, P. ; Zuman, P.
The mechanism of the electrochemical behavior of 3-substituated derivates of chinoxaline-2-on on the mercury electrode was studied with the aim to explain the behavior of these drugs in human body. Tast and normal pulse polarography, direct current, cyclic, differential voltammetry, elimination voltammetry with linear scan etc. were applied.
Voltammetric Determination of Cytostatic Using Silver Solid Amalgam Electrode
Barek, J. ; Fischer, J. ; Konečná, B. ; Kratzer, J. ; Hrušková, M. ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Novotný, Ladislav ; Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Zima, J.
Modern polarographic and voltammetric methods at mercury meniscus-modified silver solid amalgam electrode (m-AgSAE) were proved to be suitable for the determination of a number of polarographically active cytostatic drugs. The voltammetric determination of 6-mercaptupurine (6-MP), 6-thioguanine (6-TG), Mitoxantrone (MX, CAS No.: 65271-80-9, CAS. Name: 1,4-Dihydroxy-5,8-bis[{2-[(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]ethyl}amino]-9,10-anthracenedione), and Doxorubicin (DR, CAS No.: 23214-92-8, CAS Name: (8S-cis)-10-[(3-Amino-2,3,6-trideoxy--L-lyxohexapyranosyl)oxy] - 7, 8, 9, 10 - tetrahydro-6, 8, 11-trihydroxy-8-(hydroxyacetyl)-1-methoxy-5,12-naphtacenedione) were studied.
Voltammetric Behaviour of Cd, Zn-Metallothionein on Mercury and Carbon Composite Paste Electrodes
Šestáková, Ivana ; Navrátil, Tomáš ; Kopanica, M.
Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes of rabbit liver metallothionein, Cd5Zn2 MT, exhibit on hanging mercury drop electrode inert behaviour, reduction takes place at adsorbed state. The behaviour corresponding to anodic stripping voltammetry on HMDE was observed at carbon composite paste electrode, using constant current chronopotentiometry.
